The Province has once again introduced tighter restrictions to help stop the spread of Covid - 19.

The restrictions eliminate face to face business interaction for many businesses who are advised to now use on-line, pickup and delivery services but do not apply to business and organizations it has now declared as critical so long as strict conditions are met.

Still No Cash From Canadian Tire For Retail Development

It was a deal announced during the 2016 civic election and finalized in December 2019. A deal which would see Canadian Tire build a major retail development on Thatcher Drive East. The deal is set to close April 13th with no cash as of yet being received by the City from the Canadian retail giant.

Provincial Daily Covid - 19 Numbers Increase From Yesterday

The number of Covid - 19 cases, confirmed and presumptive, now stands at 44 provincewide.

Despite the increase the risk of infection remains low but preventative measures are necessary including proper hand washing, practice social distancing and stay home as much as possible to prevent and slow the potential spread of the coronavirus.

Province Further Tightens Restricitons Due To Covid - 19

With the number of confirmed and presumptive cases of Covid - 19 now reaching 26 the province has instituted further measures to stop and/or slow the spread under the declared State of Emergency.

For the first time a 14 day quarantine is mandatory for those returning from a foreign land or those who have the illness and it is enforcable by the police with jail and or a fine.
