Eviction Moratorium Ending

To assist residential tenants maintain homes and places to social distance during the COVID - 19 pandemic the Province instituted a moratorium to not hear rent related eviction applications.

As of August 4th that moratorium is ending and landlords will now have the means to apply to evict tenants for non-payment of rent.

Just over 40 years ago Terry Fox dipped his prosthetic leg in the Atlantic Ocean to start his dream to run marathon everyday across Canada to raise $1 million for cancer research.

The dream grew into a dollar from each of the 22 million Canadians. In the end his efforts as well as those who still run in his name at the Terry Fix Rum has raised hundreds of millions worldwide for cancer research.
