Four Facing Fines Following Freedom Rally While Organizer Remains Defiant On Social Media

Four individuals are facing fines totaling $11,200 for their alleged involvement in Saturday afternoon’s Saskatchewan Freedom Rally organized by the Forum For Canadian Sovereignty. The charges and fines were issued for allegedly breaking the Public Health Order issued to help stop the spread of COVID - 19.

Despite the fines one of the speakers remained defiant on his Twitter account.

Outbreak Declared At Local Assisted Living Home

After dropping from seven to three active outbreaks over the past month there is now a new COVID - 19 outbreak declared in Moose Jaw and this time it is in an assisted living facility.

Presently three out of the four declared outbreaks are in facilities which house seniors and those with major health problems.

Raffle Proceeds Help Over The Christmas Season

City employees recently held a raffle which helped adopt two families for Christmas as well as garner donations for a schwak or whole bunch of local non-profit groups.

Although this raffle and donations were announced about a week ago MJ Independent held the story back as something positive for Christmas Day.
