Mountain Of Unpaid Parking Tickets Major Motivator Behind Proposed Changes At City Hall

The retirement of City Clerk/Solicitor Myron Gulka-Teichko has opened the opportunity to create two new positions and restructure the department.

A key motivator in the new positions and restructuring is it will allow Bylaw Enforcement to have more teeth to enforce bylaws. It will also, the City is hoping, to make it easier to collect a large portion of the mountain of $940,000 in unpaid parking tickets that have accumulated over the last decade.
