Byelection Date Set But Lots Of Questions Remaining
A byelection has been declared to fill the vacant Mayor’s chair for November 3rd but despite Council voting on 14 points to run the election a lot of questions remain open.
Plus the possibility of a second byelection being triggered if a councillor should run for mayor, win and not resign soon enough for the councillor position to be on the ballot.
This could be a Moose Jaw civic election like no other.

Hail Pelts Down On No Plan B
Despite misgivings and not being informed of the full financial implications in a tender awarded in June Council voted 5 - 1 to loan $150,000 to Mosaic Place to start-up the in-house food and beverage service.
The lack of a Plan B - if Council had voted no - did not sit well with at least one Councillor as hail and questions pelted down on Spectra’s manager in Moose Jaw, Ryan MacIvor.
