Council Declines Funding Enhanced Bylaw Enforcement Until 2023
The plans to get the staff of the new bylaw enforcement unit up and running this year is going to have to wait until next year’s budget as Council in budget discussions on Monday evening decided to wait until next year to get it up and running.
Council would like to see a new City Solicitor in place before proceeding.
By all appearances that mountain of unpaid parking tickets, business licenses and other assorted fines is going to have to wait until next year for collection efforts to begin in earnest.
