A complete list of the winners in the Highway To Heroes Car Show held this past Saturday.

A 27 year old Moose Jaw man is dead following pointing a firearm in a police involved shooting.

The man was shot after the Moose Jaw Police Service responded to a man uttering threats at 1:10 am earlier this morning. The man fled the original scene and a police chase occurred east on the Trans-Canada Highway.

After attempts to negotiate over hours the man allegedly pointed a firearm and refused multiple commands to lower the weapon when he was shot. The 27 year old later died on the scene.

The RCMP and Moose Jaw Police Service have requested the legislated independent investigation and coroner’s office involvement into the fatality.

The incident has closed the Trans Canada Highway near Belle Plaine where the investigation continues.

Although it was likely the hottest day of 2022 so far - with high temperatures in the mid 30s - the 6th Highway To Heroes Car Show went ahead as planned.

The story talks about the importance of the car show to not only assist local non-profits but also the bond it helps to forge and foster between 15 Wing Moose Jaw and the community.

The alleged perpetrator of a July 8th stabbing incident on the 0 block of Manitoba Street East has been released on conditions.

The City of Moose Jaw has identified three problem areas where pigeons are congregating and causing problems in City facilities.

The Highway To Heroes is one of the largest car shows in Moose Jaw and the last time it ran in 2018 it attracted 500 cars and over 8,000 spectators.
