Over 300 drivers faced some sort of penalty as SGI's November's Traff Safety Spotlight targeted impaired driving.

Cold Weather Crash

The colder night temperatures were not the only thing motorists and police were dealing with on Monday evening.

An accident at about 11 pm had a truck, snowmobile and a light standard damaged forcing the closure of the northbound lane of the 300 block of Main Street North closed by the Moose Jaw Police Service to clean up the mess.

Trustee Resigns Forcing By-election

Todd Johnson, elected as a Prairie South School Division trustee in November 2020, has resigned his position as a Trustee.

Johnson said it was a hard decision to make but decided to resign to seek employment with Prairie South.

He said leaving the Board was a tough decision.

A job he said he secured due to training, experience and skills without political shenanigans.

It all adds up to a Trustee by-election this March.
