The first game following the Semester Exam Break likely was a factor in the Vanier Spirits convincing win over the Peacock Toilers in high school senior girls basketball action on Tuesday evening.

Central Defeats Peacock In Senior Boys Basketball
It was a bit of a rollercoaster in senior boys basketball last evening as in the third quarter the Peacock Toilers drew within single digits of the Central Cyclones.
The Cyclones would deny the Toilers further ground though in the fourth quarter to secure the victory.

Funding Patrol Moved To 2024 Budget Talks
A four week pilot project that saw two Commissionaires patrol City owned facilities as well as the Downtown business area from 8 pm to 4 am in a marked unit was seen as a success.
The patrol was seen as a deterrent the only problem is the lack of funding is a deterrent to it operating this summer.
Due to the lack of funding any opportunity into making the patrol and its cost of $2,700 per week a permanent operation will have to waiting for approval in the 2024 Operating Budget.
