Reduced Speed In School Zones And Parks/Playgrounds Bylaw Amendments Pass
The 40 km/hr signs marking school zones from 8 am to 6 pm will soon be a thing of the past as amendments to the Traffic Bylaw have been passed.
Under the Traffic Bylaw amendments the new school zone speed limit will be 30 km/hr from 7 am to 7 pm 365 days a year.
In 2025 parks and playgrounds will see the same reduced speed limits and extended hours for an active school zone put into operation
