Late Snow Removal Ticket Closing Comes Up As Part Of Council Discussion

Was the snow removal completed in the winter or did the recent hot weather do the job for the City?

It’s a question that might well be asked given comments by Councillor Patrick Boyle at Monday’s marathon council meeting.

Councillor Boyle was commenting on a resident-first client services strategy. A policy which would see the City put its residence first when it comes to doing work.

“There was one recently about snow removal and that ticket got closed just the other day. It’s things like that we’re talk about putting into the strategy,” he said.

Councillor Boyle said it’s not that the City is not doing what they’re supposed to, but this just gives them direction and what they should be doing.

Councillor Dawn Luhning said she would like to back up the comments from Council Boyle.

Financial services director Brian Acker said the preference of Administration would be a referral to allow the completion of a report showing all of the options.

Council unanimously approved moving the motion to Administration at a later date.
