Local Wrestlers Qualify For Western Canada Summer Games

On Saturday, May 11th The Moose Jaw Kinsmen Wrestling Club sent 5 of our top athletes between 12 & 16 years of age to the 2019 Western Canada Summer Games Team Selection Tournament held at Archbishop MC O’Neill HS in Regina.

The first place athlete in each weight class will be selected to represent Team Sask in Swift Current Aug 13th-18th, 2019 at the 2019 Western Canada Summer Games. The 2nd place athlete will be considered the alternate, and may be called upon in the event that the 1st place athlete is unable to participate in the Games.

Of the 5 athletes the Moose Jaw Kinsmen Wrestling Club sent down, 2 Found spots on the team Sask and 3 as Alternates.

Payton Kell will represent Saskatchewan in the Male 39 – 42 kg weight Class.

 Alexis Bradish will represent Saskatchewan in the Female 65 kg weight class.

Alexis Bradish may have only started wrestling in November of 2018 but she completely ran though all three of her opponents, pinning all of them in the first round and not having any points scored on her in the entire tournament.

Kayde Kell will be an alternate in the Male 46kg weight class.

Kaydes only lose gave from Emmaneul Alsol from Saskatoon

 Liam Vargo will be an alternate in the Male 58kg weight class

Liams  only lose came from Donovan Neudorf from Prince Albert

 Sydnee Christmas will be an alternate in the Female 74kg weight class.

Sydnee only loss came from Allie Gawryluik from Elrose

Team Sask will travel up to Swift Current on Aug 13th, they will have two days of practice on site Aug 14th & 15th with competition days being Aug 16th, 17th & 18th.
