Spirits Finish Regionals As Champions - Cyclones Come In Second

It was an all Moose Jaw final at the 4A senior girls regionals held at FW Johnson Collegiate in Regina over the weekend.

The Vanier Spirts defeated the Central Cyclones 2 - 0 in the final playoff bracket game.

The sat scores were 25 - 20 and 25 - 19 in the Spirit’s favour.

The Spirits advance to the final, after they defeated the Lumsden Angels in two sets 25 - 14 and 25 - 19.

The Cyclones advanced to the regionals final by defeating Regina Luther 2 - 0 with set scores of 25 - 16 and 25 - 22.

The Spirits and the Cyclones advance to the provincial 4A senior girls volleyball championship on November 17 and 18th at Vanier Collegiate in Moose Jaw.

The seedings for the provincial championships are you have to be set.

The Peacock Toilers were earlier eliminated from further provincial playoff action at the weekend tournament.

The Toilers will however though face the Spirits this coming Tuesday, November 14th in the championship, final of the senior girls volleyball city league
