Elementary Volleyball Tournament Draws 16 Teams

This past weekend the new joint use school consisting of Our Lady of Hope and Coteau Hills Elementary hosted a 16-team elementary volleyball tournament.
Both HTCSD and PSSD had teams compete from four schools in both the boy’s and girl’s tournament draw. The tournament was also a wonderful way to highlight the new school and all it has to offer as well as the coordination between the two divisions to host such an event.
First Place Boys
The level of play between the teams and the two divisions was fairly even and the two finals clearly demonstrated that. In the boy’s side, the Sunningdale Grizzlies defeated the Lions from St. Margaret’s while Our Lady of Hope Stars captured the goldon the girl’s side by defeating the Sunningdale Grizzlies.
First Place Girls
Both divisions will now turn their focus to the playoffs as they prepare for their respective city finals. HTCSD playoffs begin on November 3rd with finals scheduled for the 5th up at Our Lady of Hope. PSSD playoffs begin on October 30th and wrap up with the finals on November 6th tentatively scheduled for Peacock.
