MJPS Release Details About Shooting

The Moose Jaw Police Service has arrested and charged 30-year-old Meagan Windover following a Police Operation on July 15, 2025.

The Police Operation was in relation to a weapons call on July 14, 2025.

At approximately 9:12 am on July 14, 2025, Moose Jaw Police Service members were dispatched to the North Service Road for a weapon-related call involving a firearm.

Initial information indicated that a male youth suspect shot the victim and then fled the area in a vehicle.

Upon arrival, police located a male who had suffered a gunshot wound and was attended to by EMS, then transported to the hospital with serious injuries.

The two individuals were known to each other.

Through the investigation, police identified the suspect to be a 17-year-old male. Additionally, police identified a second suspect as Windover.

Police discovered that Windover was at a residence within the Lakeview Trailer Court and executed an arrest warrant.

Windover was arrested without incident with the assistance of the MJPS’ Crisis Negotiators, Tactical Response Team (TRT), and Community Policing Division.

The female has been charged with Attempted Murder and several firearms-related offences.

She will make her first appearance in Moose Jaw Provincial Court at a later date.

The 17-year-old male remains at large.The incident is currently under investigation by police.
