Three Things To Watch For At City Hall
Former Chez Nous Converting to Addictions Housing
The former St. Louis College (Catholic Boys high school) is about to go through a possible transformation from seniors housing to housing for people with addictions.
Close the past couple years she knew has sat Vacant with nobody living there.
Now the former seniors home is being spied up upon as potential housing for people recovering from addictions.
As expected What’s the neighbourhood heard about the plans at the former Chez Nous is therenow an outcry amongst the community.
The older neighbourhood with tight lots and living spaces is not happy about the tentative plans.
Expect this one to end up in Council.
SAMA
The Saskatchewan Assessment Management Agency issue and potentially getting rid of them as the City’s priority values assessment agency could very well be heating up once again.
At least a few SAMA opponents are collecting funds to bring in an independent private “journalist” to investigate the City and SAMA to root out the corruption.
According to some opponents the local “media” has dropped the ball and failed to do their jobs on this file.
Strong chances are this could just end up a dead end.
New Landfill
The City has yet to announce where they will putting the proposed new landfill.
Something they have to move on sooner rather than later.
This is following the previously proposed location in the RM of Moose Jaw being denied after considerable ratepayer pushback.
