Lind Lights Up The 15U AAA Canucks In Semi-Final Shutout

The Moose Jaw 15U AAA Canucks are off to the provincial final after defeating the Saskatoon Expos 5 - 0 in today’s provincials semi-final.

Standing on the mound was right handed pitcher Lucas Lind who recorded 13 strikeouts over seven innings.

Lind allowed 0 runs, two hits and three walks during his tenure on the mound.

Daxton Chesney led the Canucks’ offence with a three for three record. Chesney would hit a single in the second and fifth inning. He would hit a double in the fourth inning.

Saskatoon Astros’ pitcher Bronx Becker would strike out 11 in four innings of work.

Zaid Guillaume and Chesney would steal multiple bases for the Canucks. The Canucks would rack up seven stolen bases.

Defensively the Canucks managed to turn a double play.

The Canucks next game is at 1:30 pm today when they face the Sask Five Giants. The winner claims the provincial title and a trip to the Western Canadian championships.
