Tickets - $12 advance and $15 at the door
Moose Jaw might not sound like fertile ground for rap and hip hop but it does have a dedicated following.
A following that is dedicated to the hip hop genre.
And on January 30th local hip hop enthusiasts and those curious about the music will have the opportunity to sample local Saskatchewan hip hop talent at Chillers Pub - 510 Home Street West.
Doors open at 9:30 pm and the music begins at 10:30 pm.
“It’s a rap music show, so we are all local rappers that will be performing our own original music. We are from a range of places. Im from Bethune personally, we have two artists from Yorkton, a few artists from Regina, an artist from the Chamberlain area and a Moose Jaw artist,” said performer and show frontman Cole Fuchs.
The show is all about area talent getting out and up on stage.
“This show is for anyone who wants to support local hiphop/rap music in Saskatchewan and a show and genre that doesn’t typically get booked or the spotlight in Moose Jaw. We have a DJ at the end of the night around 1 am to close us out for partying and dancing.”
Fuchs said it was all about booking an act that was different for Moose Jaw. And give the city something new to enjoy.
“I’m 31 now but i lived in Moose Jaw and attended the SIAST Palliser campus when it was still SIAST so Moose Jaw has always held a special place in my heart. It’s just an honour and a priveledge to perform my music in a city i once called home.”
Online tickets are available at Eventbrite under All Chillers No Fillers.
