Police Warn About Email Ticket Scam

The Moose Jaw Police Service advises the public to remain vigilant following several reports of a new scam circulating within the community via email.

On February 13, 2026, police received several reports of a scam involving an unpaid Provincial Violation Ticket via email. The scammer is impersonating the Saskatchewan Fine Collection Branch.

Victims would receive an email notice from the Fine Collection Branch stating that they have committed a provincial violation and that payment is required immediately.

The Saskatchewan Fine Collection Branch has confirmed that they only send correspondence via mail and will not contact individuals via email or phone.

The Moose Jaw Police Service would like to remind the public that if they received this email, not to click any links or provide any personal information to the scammers.
