Exhibition AGM Well Attended

On paper it looks like a loss in reality it isn’t. The facilities are in good shape.

That’s the best way to describe the financial situation of the Moose Jaw Exhibition Company Ltd.

At their recent well attended Annual General Meeting (AGM) the Exhibition Company’s audited financial statements showed an operating loss of $198,511.

The loss is just under $70,000 more than the 2024 of $128,426.

The Exhibition Company is quick to point out there is amortization of $423,088 in 2025. But the amortization shouldn’t apply to the Exhibition Company as they are not a for profit enterprise and the assets are well maintained and there is no planned demolition of facilities.

In the revenues side of the ledger there is $415,192 in income from the provincial government in lieu of the Exhibition operating a casino.

Other revenue includes a drop in sponsorships in 2025 at $57,040 from $104,196 in 2024.

Rental Revenue was up to $493,078 in 2025 from $445,572 in 2024.

Wages and benefits remained the biggest liability for the Exhibition Company in 2025. The Exhibition Company paid out $428,434.

Repairs and maintenance cost $234,828 in 2025.

The AGM was told the financials were normal and showed no irregularities.
