Jr Mustangs Split Pair Of Games With Blizzard

The Moose Jaw Junior Mustangs split a pair of games with the Winnipeg Blizzard over the weekend in the Prairie Gold Lacrosse League (PGLL).
The Mustangs lost the first game on Friday evening 9 - 8 and they won the second game 12 - 9 on Saturday evening.
Game One
Mustangs 8 - Blizzard 9
Fueled by a five goal third period the visiting Winnipeg Blizzard defeated the Moose Jaw Jr Mustangs 9 - 8 on Friday evening.
The Mustangs were led by Ryder Gilroy who scored four goals on the evening.
The Blizzard scored the winning goal on the powerplay at 6:59 of the third period.

Game Two
Mustangs 12 - Blizzard 9
Ryder Gilroy had three goals and an assist to top the Moose Jaw point getters.
Winston Hooker-Rigden scored four goals to be top point getter for Winnipeg.
Scoring wise Moose Jaw and Winnipeg each scored four goals in the first period.
Moose Jaw outscored Winnipeg five to three goals in the second period.
An attempt to pull off a comeback from behind by Winnipeg failed in the third period as Moose Jaw outscored the Blizzard 3 - 2 in the third period.

The Mustangs now hold a 5 - 4 record.
