Peacock Show and Shine set to go on Thursday

There will be a lot of pride on display as students, alumni and anyone else who want to come share their vehicle this Thursday at Peacock Collegiate.
Set to run from 4 pm - 7 pm all proceeds will go towards raising funds to repair the Peacock race car.
The event is open to non - students as well students alike, organizer Brad Raet.
Admission is by donation.
“Anyone on the community is able to participate,” Raet said.
“People in the community are able to enter their own cars.”
Although he does know when the car show and shine took a break but Raet said the event was not held for a few years due to the COVID 19 restrictions.
On Thursday Ross Street will be closed on the south side of the school do to larg. numbers of cars competing.
There will be food available for sale.
Raet said the students have done some great work on their vehicles.
“There are a lot of impressive student vehicles who have done impressive work and there are community members who want to see them,” he said.
Raet said there is also many impressive vehicles worked on by alumni and others in the community.
There is only one trophy allowed to be passed out is the people’s choice award.
