With all of the bad news and the uncertainty many people are feeling it has taken a toll on many people’s mental health. To help alleviate the stress, anxiety and depression the Canadian Mental Health Association and Bell Let’s Talk have teamed up to bring an effective program to the province that has had a high effectiveness rating elsewhere.

A pair of initiatives by City Hall employees paid off in a big way for the Moose Jaw and District Food Bank.

A new store is having a barbecue and bake sale as part of its grand opening celebrations today.

A province-wide program using the telephone is launching to help seniors (those over 55) break the social isolation and loneliness many face. The program is 100 percent free and has proven successful in other regions it has operated in.

The Moose Jaw Nature Society held their AGM outdoors in the beautiful Wakamow Valley and has decided to change the format of their monthly meetings from indoors to the great outdoors due to the COVID - 19 restrictions.

With the preventive measures and restrictions due to the COVID - 19 impacting many groups the Moose Jaw Nature Society probably had one of the most fitting AGM’s ever - they held it in the great outdoors.

To make true lemonade out of the lemons the coronavirus has thrown at them the group is moving away from their regular indoor speakers format to more of a hands on outdoor workshop format.
