Klinger Receives Award For Volunteerism At Highway To Heroes Car Show Appreciation Event

It was a complete surprise but Starla Klinger received the Lois Boyle Award as part of the Highway To Heroes car show volunteer and sponsor appreciation night held on Wednesday evening.

At the catered event certificates of appreciation were given out to all sponsors and volunteers.

Additionally two cheques were issued to groups who helped make the return of the event a reality.

The event also saw the release of details about the twice cancelled 50th Anniversary Reunion of the Snowbirds next weekend. The event will bring 600 alumni to Moose Jaw.

The campaign by Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan Government Insurance (SGI), and the Moose Jaw Police Service (MJPS) hopes to point out the consequences of impaired driving and also encourage people to reported suspected impaired drivers.
