Free Landfill for Half of October (Some Restrictions Apply)

The City of Moose Jaw is giving you a great opportunity to get rid of all that post-Autumn refuse literally littering your luxurious, luscious lawns. They are offering the good citizens of the city free temporary use of the landfill.

The $10 fee will be waived for vehicles that are half-ton and smaller between October 15-31. Trailers and large commercial vehicles will still be charged by the tonne.

The city reminds that the purpose of the free landfill is so residents can clear their yards of leaves, grass and other general yard cleanup.

The City also reminds that according to Bylaw 5156, Section 23, that tarps are required to secure loads and violations will be given to those who fail to use tarps.

The Sanitary Landfill's hours of service are from Monday to Saturday, 7:00am to 9:00pm and on Sundays from 10:00 to 4:00
