Crystal Meth Awareness Week Declared

With the proliferation of plague called Crystal Methamphetamine Mayor Fraser Tolmie has declared June 6 - 12 as Crystal Meth Awareness Week in Moose Jaw. The week will focus upon the proliferation of the highly addictive drug and how to stop it.

The Moose Jaw Crystal Meth Strategy Committee is happy to announce the Mayor’s proclamation of June 6-12, 2021 as “Crystal Meth Awareness Week” in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan.

The highlight event for Crystal Meth Awareness Week is the premiere of a locally filmed video featuring two individuals sharing their courageous recovery stories as well as front line workers from Moose Jaw Police Services, Mental Health and Addictions, and Moose Jaw and District EMS Paramedic Services.

The video, “Stop Mething Around” will be shown on June 9 at 7 pm CST.

WHO ARE WE? 

The Moose Jaw Crystal Meth Strategy Committee is a network of several human service organizations and individuals that are interested in building awareness about the dangers of crystal meth through the 2021 “Spread the Word” prevention campaign.
