Rally Supporting Local Small Businesses Fighting “Unfair” Property Taxes To Be Held (Copy)

The issue of what small businesses are paying in property taxes is about to come to a boil.

And in response to what they see as a major injustice a local caterer is cooking up a rally to point out what he sees as the inequities within the property tax system small businesses are facing.

The rally - organized by Assessment Watchdog's Bernie Dombowsky - will be held today at 5:30 pm at 301 4th Avenue SW (south end of the 4th Avenue Bridge) and everyone is invited to attend.

The recently formed group is calling for what they see as equity and fairness in the current assessments and subsequent property taxes smaller sized businesses pay.

They have addressed Council both publicly and in-camera.
