Five Events For Canada Day

We had a bunch of Canada Day events reported to us asking if we could help promote them. Here is a list of what MJ Independent received:

Royal Canadian Legion - 200 Block High Street West

The Legion will be hosting a licensed street party running from 5 pm with musical entertainment commencing at 6 p,m.

The event will run until 2 am and the at the door entry fee is $20.

Proceeds from the event will go to the Legion’s building fund as they raise funds for a new affordable home.

Moose Jaw Miller Express - Tailgate Party and Game

The Moose Jaw Miller Express will be holding a Tailgate Party starting at 4:30 pm and running until 6:30 pm.

At 7:05 the team will take on the Weyburn Beavers.

Ticket cost is $10 for an adult or $15 for two adults and includes tickets to the game. Children under 12 are free and students (including university) is $5.

Moose Jaw Eagles Club

The Moose Jaw Eagles Club (561 Home Street West) is also getting into the Canada Day spirit and they will be hosting events for the day with doors opening at 11:30 am.

Cornhole tournament - starts at 1:pm - free Entry - two person teams

Happy Day Bar Prices all day - includes gun liquor and back bar drinks - Buckets of Beer (5 beer to a bucket) $23.75

Pool tables are open - free pool all day Mini Pool tournament - starts at 1:00 pm

Ladies Auxiliary doing an Ol' Fashioned Hamburger Fry - $8.00 - BBQ burger, selection of salads 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm

Cosmo Centre Canada Day Breakfast

The Cosmo Centre (235 3rd Avenue NE) will be hosting their traditional Canada Day Breakfast.

The breakfast runs from 8 am to 10 am.

For $8 people can enjoy a great breakfast consisting of pancakes and sausages plus everything else to personalize it to your taste.

Moose Jaw Lawn Bowling Club

The Moose Jaw Lawn Bowling Club (510 3rd Avenue NE - east side of Crescent Park) will be holding a FREE drop in day for those who would like to come out and see what the sport is all about.
