City To Hold Open House About Proposed New Landfill

The controversial proposed City of Moose Jaw landfill to be located just a couple of miles north of the intersection of 9th Avenue NW and Highway #1 will be the subject of an open house.

On February 22nd the City will be presenting two come and go sessions for people to learn about the proposed solid waste management facilities.

The sessions will held at 1:30 pm - 3:30 pm and 6 pm - 8 pm at the Mezzanine level of the Moose Jaw Events Centre.

According to the release “The “come and go” Open House sessions offer you a chance to view the key components of the proposed facility and get answers to your questions from the City of Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan’s Ministry of Environment, and consultants from GHD and Associated Engineering.”

Additionally attendees can provide feedback before the City approaches the RM of Moose Jaw for a discretionary use application to operate a solid waste management facility.
