Records Show Sabourin Was Facing Four Charges Including Handgun Related Offences

When he was transferred from RCMP custody to Moose Jaw Police Service (MJPS) custody Jeremy Joseph Sabourin was alleged to have committed four criminal offences.

Sabourin was facing a total of four charges.

A charge of sexual assault, assault and two firearms charges.

During his testimony Cst Chris Flanagan said he was not made aware of the charges Sabourin was facing at the time. He told the inquiry he would like to see that change.

The following documents were NOT obtained through the coroner’s service nor the inquest.

They were acquired May 26, 2023 as MJ Independent was working on a story about what really happened to Jeremy Sabourin.

They document what Sabourin’s was charged with and how they were later withdrawn at his passing.

The public inquest is being held over four days at the Court Of King’s Bench.
