Search Warrant Leads To Drug/Weapons Charges For Two

Two people are facing firearms and drug-related offences, following an executed search warrant.

On April 22, 2024, members of the Moose Jaw Police Service Criminal Investigation Section (CIS) and Tactical Response Team (TRT) executed a search warrant at a residence in the 1200 block of 9th Avenue Northeast.

Police were able to arrest one male and one female without incident.

The search yielded Cocaine, drug paraphernalia, numerous bladed weapons, several replica firearms, and approximately $1700 in Canadian Currency.

Police also located stolen property within the residence.

As a result of this investigation, Jason Carey, 43, and Teanika Trew-Gawley, 28, have both been charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking and other Criminal Code offences.

Both made their first appearance in Moose Jaw Provincial Court on April 23, 2024 and have been remanded to the Regina Correctional Centre.
