Evidence Points To No Hit And Run

On April 15, 2025, at approximately 5:15 p.m., the Moose Jaw Police Service responded to a hit-and-run involving a 12-year-old youth at the intersection of Caribou Street West and 6th Avenue Northwest.

The youth was transported to the hospital by EMS and was treated for minor injuries.

It was initially stated that a vehicle struck the youth while they were on a bike and then fled the scene.

After a thorough investigation, police learned through witness statements and video evidence that there was no evidence of a hit-and-run.

Although the MJPS appreciates the value of the public sharing information through social media, which may warn citizens, we encourage people posting to refrain from making assumptions surrounding the circumstances of an incident. We ask the public to report concerns directly to the police for follow-up and verification.
