Hold & Secure At Area School

Although details are still sketchy LaFleche Central School went into Hold and Secure (lockdown) procedures earlier this afternoon due to comments made by a community member and their social media presence.

The actions appear to be precautionary in nature and there were by all appearances no weapons but only words involved in the alleged incident.

A letter was sent out to parents advising them about the incident - see below.

The local RCMP became involved in the incident and the Hold and Secure was lifted at 1:45 pm.

The Hold & Secure was only in effect after being enacted at 1:15. Regular classes continued during it.
