Police Seize Replica Weapon - Lay Charges

On Saturday, August 1st, 2026, at approximately 8:15 p.m., police attended a residence in the VLA area of Moose Jaw to conduct a well-being check.

Upon arrival, officers encountered a male who appeared to be wielding a firearm. The individual complied with police commands and was taken into custody without incident. 

A replica firearm was seized, and the male has been charged with Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose.

The incident remains under investigation.
