U18 AAA Canucks Wrap Up 2025 Season At Home With A Pair Of Losses

It was a tough Saturday afternoon for the U18 AAA Canucks as they played their final two home games of the regular season with a pair of mercy rule losses.

It was also seniors day as the Canucks said adieu to eight players who graduate this year. The Canucks seniors roster is strong with five players moving on to play baseball at post secondary schools.

In a post game ceremony there was emotion and hugs as the graduating players’ parents joined the children as they bid farewell to Ross Wells Stadium.

Despite the talent on the bench things did not come together for Moose Jaw.

The Canucks lost Game One 17 - 7 and Game Two 11 - 0 to the Sask 5 Marlins.

The pair of losses move the Canucks from second place in the Saskatchewan Premier Baseball League to fifth place in the 2025 regular season.

The Canucks would match the Marlins in the inning by scoring a run in the bottom of the second inning.

The Marlins would score six runs in the sixth inning ending the game on the 10 run mercy rule.

Game Two saw the Canucks outpaced by the Marlins.

The Marlins pitching staff managed to bottle up the Canucks batters to singles or walks.

The big innings for the Marlins were the first where they scored three runs and the fifth inning where they scored five runs making the game Marlins 8 and Canucks 0 after two innings.

Editor’s Note: since these were the final two home games of the 2025 season this will be the end of our live coverage. Good luck to the Canucks on the road and provincials in Saskatoon.
