U17 Mustangs Advance

Heavily favoured to win it all the Moose Jaw U17 Mustangs defeated the Swift Current Rampage 17 - 4 in Southern Saskatchewan Lacrosse League playoff action on Saturday evening.

The Mustangs were powered by a five goal performance by Cash Bellefeuille who found the Rampage’s net time and again.

Connor Hart-Livingston and Jaxyn Houle also scored three goals for Moose Jaw.

Main Zanidean had a hat trick for Swift Current in a losing cause.

Swift Current was able to go toe to toe with Moose Jaw until the score was 2 - 2 in the first period.

Moose Jaw then surged with five unanswered goals in the period.

The second period saw the Mustangs outscore the Rampage in the second period.

The third period saw the Mustangs outscore Rampage 4 - 1.

The win advances the Mustangs to Sunday at 9:25 am when they face the Weyburn Young’s Equipment Thrashers.
