Players Compete At Box Lacrosse Nationals

Players from the Moose Jaw Lacrosse Association/Division South Sask lacrosse league are currently representing Moose Jaw and Saskatchewan at the 2026 minor box lacrosse national championship taking place in Halifax, Nova Scotia August 11th-15th.

There are two players in the U15 male division: #5 Ethan Thedroff and #12 Griffen Heilman-Fogal.

U15 female division has one player, #16 Bristol Dean.

The U13 male division also has one player, #95 Brayden Hanson.

The U13 female division has a solid 3 players: #22 Lennox Dean, #99 Payton Pinel, and #23 Cabri Engler.

There are 800 athletes involved in the tournament from nine different provinces - SK, AB, BC, ON, QC, NB, PEI, NS, MB and First Nations.

It's considered one of the highest levels a player can reach in their age category and a chance to prove they have what it takes to get to the next level of Box Lacrosse.

For some of these players, it is their first time competing at a level like this, which will help develop them into top-level lacrosse players.

For others, it's about returning to play at this level, developing further, and reaching the next level in their careers.
