Moose Jaw Nature Society Holds Most Fitting AGM Ever

With the preventive measures and restrictions due to the COVID - 19 impacting many groups the Moose Jaw Nature Society probably had one of the most fitting AGM’s ever - they held it in the great outdoors.

To make true lemonade out of the lemons the coronavirus has thrown at them the group is moving away from their regular indoor speakers format to more of a hands on outdoor workshop format.

Infamous House And Complaints Surrounding It Returns To Council

According to a report from the provincial Ombudsman’s Office the City acted appropriately in dealing with the complaints about an infamous house on Hastings Street West.

But one councillor reminded Council the complaints were over 15 years and the complainant was frustrated after following the proper procedure to get something done over that time.

Nature Moose Jaw To Hold AGM Today In The Great Outdoors

MOU To Be Signed Despite Concerns About Location

City Offers Equivalent Credit But No Cash To Ticket Rocket's Victims

Council has decided to offer ticket purchasers who can not get a refund for tickets they purchased to two concerts and three Warriors’ hockey games through Ticket Rocket equivalent value gift cards.

Council also heard for the first time that the troubles with Ticket Rocket were going on prior to the Scotties with Mosaic Place having to request monies to be remitted every Friday for the national women’s curling championship.

Council also admitted the gift cards are likely not what most ticket purchasers want but it is the best option as there is no $200,000 in the bank to pay out people still seeking refunds.
