Alcohol And Cannabis Ban May Long Weekend

With it being the May long weekend and the return to camping the Province wants to remind you heading off to your local liquor retailer, licensed cannabis retailer or locally unlicensed pharmacist (drug dealer) is a big no-no if you are heading off to a Provincial Park.

During the Victoria Day Weekend (Thursday, May 16 to Monday, May 20 inclusive), the alcohol ban will be in place once again and will include cannabis.  The alcohol and cannabis ban applies to all campgrounds and picnic areas within provincial parks and recreation sites.  The ban is also in effect at several regional parks.

Enforcement officers will be patrolling the campgrounds regularly during the May long weekend. If you are violating the ban, you will have your alcohol/cannabis seized and you could also face charges and eviction from the park.

To report a violation, please phone the 24-hour, toll-free number: PARK WATCH 1-800-667-1788
