Cinderella Provincial Championship Run Ends For Moose Jaw Warriors U18 A

It was a tough loss for the Moose Jaw Warriors U18 A team as they fell 8 - 1 to the Saskatoon Redwing Admirals on Sunday.

With the win the Redwing Admirals captured the provincial best of three games championship two games to none.

The Warriors lost game one of the series 8 - 3 on Friday evening in Moose Jaw so they had to win game two to force a deciding mini game.

The Warriors got on the scoreboard in the third period at 12:07 when AP Carter Pilipow with a deflection in front of the net from Ryder Carriere.

The Warriors have been the outside underdogs during the playoffs after finishing in seventh place in Hockey Regina’s U18 A league.

The Warriors defied the odds and managed to battle their way up to southern provincial champions to face the Redwing Admirals in the provincial final.
