U17 Mustangs Defeat Chaos Blue To Open League Finals

Led by four goals by Brett Bowerin the Moose Jaw U17 Mustangs defeated Regina Chaos Blue 12 - 3 in a mercy rule victory in round one of South Saskatchewan Lacrosse League championships.

The game was stopped with 5:57 left in the third period

The Mustangs are 10 - 0 regular season league champions and the favourites in the U17 division.

Joining Bowerin in multiple goals for the Mustangs were Connor Hart-Livingston and Ryder Seiferling who each scored three goals.

Jaxyn Houle and Cooper Fulton each had a goal for the Mustangs.

Chaos Blue got on the scoreboard first and managed to hold the lead for 29 seconds until the Mustangs tied things up and took over the goal scoring.

Moose scored three goals to one goal by Regina in the first period.

The second period saw the Mustangs score four goals and Chaos Blue scored zero goals.

The third period saw the Mustangs score five goals to Chaos Blue’s two goals.

The Mustangs next game is Saturday June 20th at 8:10 pm versus a yet to be named opponent at the Weyburn Sports Arena.
