City To Receive Infrastructure Cash Windfall

The City of Moose Jaw is about to receive a welcome gift courtesy the Federal Government.

As part of the Federal Budget the City will receive an additional $2.082 million for infrastructure renewal. The money is coming from gas tax revenues.

At present the federal government gives $2.2 billion nationally from its gas tax revenues and as part of the federal budget they will now be giving municipalities an additional $2.2 billion.

At the present time the City is still determining what to do with the unexpected infrastructure renewal windfall.
