In the girl’s final, the St. Michael Knights Blue took on the top seed Our Lady of Hope Stars Purple. With their recent tournament win the Stars came out with lots of confidence and took early control of the match, taking set one. The Knights countered in the second set with some quality serving and strong net play before eventually falling to the Stars in set number 3.This is the first ever league championship for the new south hill school.

On the boy’s side, the unbeaten and defending champions from St. Margaret’s were up against the second place Stars. Set one was all Stars as they took an early lead and didn’t look back as they defeated the Lions. In set number two the Lions found their first-place game and were able to even things up against the Stars. The third set went back and forth with the Lions eventually coming away with the victory and their third championship in a row.

Earlier in the day the bronze matches were held in both divisions. St. Michael Knights White captured third place as they defeated the OLOH Stars Blue on the girl’s side while the Spartans from St. Agnes claimed the honours on the boy’s side, defeating the St. Michael Knights Blue.
