Clippers Home Openers Set To Kick Off

College level athletics is set to kick off as the Briercrest Clippers seasons in various sports are set to get underway.

In just a few weeks, the Clippers athletics teams will be kicking off their seasons at home.

The Clippers are inviting families, students and everybody else to come out as spectators to the Caronport based teams.

According to a release the teams would love to fill the stands with as many students as possible.

The Clippers teams compete in the Alberta College Athletics Association, a member of the CCAA. As such, these events are high paced, exciting, and entertaining for families and students to come watch, particularly for those involved in sports.

This is a unique opportunity to watch high level college volleyball, basketball, and hockey where otherwise there isn’t really a possibility.  All Clippers teams are coming off successful seasons and playoffs, and are ready to get back into the season.

Home opener dates are as follows:

Volleyball: October 16th vs RDP (defending national champions)

Basketball and Hockey: October 23rd vs Keyano

These events will begin at 12:00pm with an event featuring yard games, face painting, sign making, hot dogs, and merch sales, with games beginning at 6 for the ladies and 8 for the men.

There will also be games on the 17th and 24th if fans are hoping to watch another game.
