U11 Mustangs Black Trot Then Gallop Against Swift Current

Swift Current - Saturday was a big day for the 11U Mustangs Black as they faced the Swift Current 11U Rampage Rowdy in a doubleheader.

As hard as they tried the Mustangs could only force a split with Rampage Rowdy.

In Game One the Mustangs lost 11 - 4.

In Game Two the Mustangs dominated winning 1 - 10.

Game One

Swift Current dominated in the scoring department in the first period. They scored four goals in the period and the Mustangs were scoreless.

The Mustangs did not get on the scoreboard until 12:04 of the second period and Swift Current had already scored five goals.

Scoring for the Mustangs were Elijah Flanagan with two goals. Ethan Koski and Edison Schwab had a goal apiece for Moose Jaw.

The second period saw Swift Current score four goals and Moose Jaw scored three goals.

Swift Current outscored Moose Jaw in the third period 3 - 1.

Game Two

Game Two brought much brighter news to the Mustangs Black team.

Swift Current got their lone goal in the first period after Moose Jaw had already recorded four goals.

Boston Chelsberg opened the scoring for the Mustangs with assists by Gage Gusa and Ethan Koski.

The Mustangs’ Atlas Kittler would score his first goal of the season assisted by Zayden Becker.

Atlas Kitler would score an unassisted marker for the Mustangs.

The Mustangs’ Tenley Hanson would score with an assist by Zayden Becker.

The final Mustang goal was by Logan Bruce.

The second period would see Ethan Koski, Elijah Flanagan and Boston Chelsberg for Moose Jaw.

Mason Thompson assisted by Tenley Hanson and Henry Arneson assisted by Boston Chelsberg rounded out the third period scoring for the Mustangs.
