15U AAA Drop Pair of Sunday Mercy Rule Losses
Disappointing day for the 15U AAA Canucks as they dropped a pair of sixth inning mercy rule losses to the visiting Saskatoon Brewers. This comes after sweeping a doubleheader on Saturday afternoon.
The Canucks lost game one 16 - 6 and game two 20 - 7.
A mercy rule loss occurs whenever a team is down by ten or more runs from the fifth inning forward.
Despite the hard losses the Canucks showed some good points in two games they never gave up trying to win.

Game One
Canucks 6 - Brewers 16
The Brewers took an early lead but the Canucks managed to tie the game in the bottom of the third inning.
The Brewers gained a 5 - 3 lead at the top of the fourth inning.
Saskatoon scored seven runs on seven hits in the sixth inning forcing the mercy rule victory.
Moose Jaw managed to collect 12 hits in the game.
Taylor Usher and Tucker Knoop each had three hits for the Canucks in the loss.

Game Two
Canucks 7 - Brewers 20
Game Two saw an aggressive Canucks team early on who threatened to take the game away from the Brewers.
Trailing by three runs in the third inning the Canucks closed the majority of the gap on a two run homerun by Lucas Lind in the third inning.
The Canucks challenged to tie or take the lead but were unable to do so.
After a pitching change to Taylor Usher the Canucks temporarily looked OK but then suddenly the Brewers’ batters got to him.

The Brewers scored five runs in four hits in the fifth inning.
The sixth inning saw the Brewers pour out the hot java scoring eight runs on six hits.
The Canucks tried to fight back but could not close within ten runs of the Brewers in the bottom half of the sixth automatically handing the win to the Brewers.

The Canucks have now won two out of their last five games.
The Canucks next game is June 10th versus the Southeast Twins at 6 pm in Estevan.
