Sportsplex Waterslide Closed Due To Corrosion Problems

Corrosion to the supports of the waterslide at the Kinsmen Sportsplex (indoor pool) has the waterslide shut down for safety reason for an unknown amount of time.

The waterslide was last operational before the pool was shut down for maintenance June 14. An inspection during the pool’s annual maintenance found the supports corroded resulting in the safety shutdown.

According to a written response to MJ Independent there is no cost estimate for the repairs. Additionally the City does not an estimated time as to when the repairs will be made to the waterslide.
